Shark-shaped Tea Infuser

In: Tea

31 Aug 2009

We put the “tea” in I.T.  and are always on the look out for new teas & paraphernalia.  Sharky is pretty sweet looking tea infuser made by Pable Matteado. Hat tip.

Special guest writer Mo sent this to me, a 15″ laptop screen attached to a 17″ laptop.  It makes me think of The New Colossus for some reason.  Give me your tired, poor, cobbled messes…

Welp, guess it’s not free now.

NYTimes has an article today on the increased risk of accidents while texting and driving.  I’ve always thought texting and driving simultaneously was pretty dumb, now I have supporting stats: “…When the drivers texted, their collision risk was 23 times greater than when not texting.”  Additionally terrifying, “In the moments before a crash or near [...]

Elph and I went out to Corman Farms today to talk to Mark and check out some possible spots for a webcam.  Elph took photos form the potential posts; I took notes and petted the Shetlands.  You can see all of today’s photos in our gallery.

This bench was made by Sebastian Errazuriz. Errazuriz’s portfolio is impressive and varied, from fashion to installations.  I particularly like the Lego motorcycle helmet.  And the tree-in-soccer-field is pretty sweet. via

Make Mac Work

I came across MakeMacWork.com last week when researching best practices for Retrospect.  MakeMacWork is an awesome blog focused on Macs in enterprise environments.  I particularly appreciated today’s tip about the 10.5.7 update affecting PPC machines.  I was also excited to read their article on configuring default user template; their method is much more concise than [...]
