We’re fans of the see-thru, hard cases by Speck for the MacBooks; we’ve purchased several for MacBooks in the ZCoB. The MacBook case is plastic, fairly sturdy but not as tough as the aluminium MacBook Pro cases. The hard covers by Speck add another layer of protection, preventing chips, cracks, and scratches. Speck’s cases are also fashionable, coming in a rainbow of colors that distinguishes your MacBook from all the others. Price varies by color, so heads up – blue is currently on sale for $20
