Carole pointed out another compelling reason for this change: bounce-backs and unsubscribe requests are kept out of the sender's mailbox. She said she gets about 40 of these for every mass mailing she sends out.

Neil Anuskiewicz is StreamSend's marketing manager. When I first talked to him, he told me he worked at the Deli when he was a student at Pioneer HS. I asked Krys and Julie, I asked Paul and Ari, but no one could confirm he worked at the Deli. No one but Carole Woods, that is! She went to high school with Neil and remembers him working at Zingerman's.

- Reporting: opened emails and click-throughs
- Import lists from Outlook, FMPro (as .csv and other formats)
- Collect meaningful, useful info within lists by adding custom fields
- No "babysitting" as with MaxBulk software
- No software
- External support and documentation

Compelling reasons to use a bulk mail service:
- It allows customer-controlled subscriptions.
- It self-manages contact lists. You can specify how to handle bounce-backs and unsuccessful sends.
- Support is handled externally by a dedicated staff.
- The mailing process will not tie up our computing resources.
- It is easy to maintain and edit templates.
- Our users can focus on content and sales instead of delivery and management issues.
- The web interface lets users access it from any computer.
